WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition

WorldSkills International is preparing a unique format for the international skill competitions in 2022, where 61 skill competitions will be held in 15 different countries and regions of the world.

Thanks to the commitment of our partners and the 15 member countries and regions organising the individual competitions, the dates and locations have already been set. The 61 skill competitions will be held over 12 weeks between 7 September and 26 November 2022.

The countries and regions hosting the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition are: Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Japan, Canada, Korea, Luxembourg, Austria, Italy (South Tyrol), Sweden, Switzerland, USA, United Kingdom;

WorldSkills Italy as host - Competitions of tilers and painters in Bolzano

Italy is one of the 15 member countries that will host the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition. The two skill competitions for tilers and painters will be held from 3rd to 6th November 2022 at the Bolzano Exhibition Center (FieraMesse).

About 30 participants from 21 different countries have registered for the competitions and in Bolzano we are expecting hundreds of guests from abroad.

Team Italy - Participants and competitions distributed over host countries

Over 1.000 competitors from 58 countries and regions will participate the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition. Team Italy is composed of twelve competitors, two of them comes from Piedmont.

Andrea Picone – Hotel Reception

The 23-year-old Andrea Picone from Piedmont is participant of the skill competition "Hotel Reception" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Luisella Rossi.

Marcel Bolego – Carpentry

The 22-year-old Marcel Bolego from Nalles is participant of the skill competition "Carpentry" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Siegfried Brunner and his employer "Zimmerei Piazzi Mathias".

Jonas Prinoth – Cabinetmaking

The 22-year-old Jonas Prinoth from Sëlva is participant of the skill competition "Cabinetmaking" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Christian Bachmann and his employer "Tischlerei Bernardi Elmar".

Tobias Bez Masotti – Graphic Design Technology

The 20-year-old Tobias Bez Masotti from Jenesien is participant of the skill competition "Graphic Design Technology" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Karin Fischnaller and his employer "The Anderen".

Lea Zelger – Floristry

The 21-year-old Lea Zelger from Deutschnofen is participant of the skill competition "Floristry" at the WorldSkills 2022. She is supported by expert Maria Steinmair and her professional school "Laimburg".

Raffaella Pia Ferro – Beauty Therapy

The 23-year-old Raffaella Pia Ferro from Borgomanero (Piedmont) is participant of the skill competition "Beauty Therapy" at the WorldSkills 2022. She is supported by expert Oriella De Santis.

Tobias Hofer – Landscape Gardening TEAM

The 20-year-old Tobias Hofer from Moos in Passeier is participant of the skill competition "Landscape Gardening TEAM" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Roman Gstrein, the professional school "Laimburg" and his employer Putzerhof "Baumschule & Gartengestaltung".

Jacob Pizzini – Landscape Gardening TEAM

The 21-year-old Jacob Pizzini from Merano is participant of the skill competition "Landscape Gardening TEAM" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Roman Gstrein and his employer "Gärtnerei Galanthus".

The 21-year-old Hannes Egger from Terlano is participant of the skill competition "Automobile Technology" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Heinrich Trienbacher and his employer "Mock KG d. Dietmar Mock & Co".

Martin Domanegg – Wall and Floor Tiling

The 21-year-old Martin Domanegg from Jenesien is participant of the skill competition "Wall and Floor Tiling" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Roland Strimmer and his employer "Handwert GmbH".

Manuel Kofler – Painting and Decorating

The 23-year-old Manuel Kofler from San Felice is participant of the skill competition "Painting and Decorating" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Bruno Giongo. Manuel also has his own company called "Manuel Kofler".

Oliver Stuppner – Bricklaying

The 19-year-old Oliver Stuppner from Aldino is participant of the skill competition "Bricklaying" at the WorldSkills 2022. He is supported by expert Josef Telser and his employer "Dallio Bau GmbH".
